Pursuant to A.R.S SS38-431.02,, all meetings of the ThrivePoint governing boards, a public body of the state of Arizona, all meeting notices are posted on this website and in the administrative offices of the school. The location is open to the public Mon. – Fri. from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Such notices will indicate the date, time, and place of the meeting and will include an agenda.

Calibre Academy commits to posting Board Meeting times and locations, agendas and minutes following each board meeting.

Calibre Academy’s Title IX policy and grievance procedures can be found by contacting our Title IX coordinator.

To report information about conduct that may constitute sex discrimination or make a complaint of sex discrimination under Title IX, please contact the school’s Title IX Coordinator, contact information directly above.  Inquiries about Title IX may also be referred to the school’s Title IX coordinator or to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

Parents have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s teacher. Specifically you may request the following:

  • Whether the teacher has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
  • Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which the state qualifications or licensing criteria has been waived.
  • The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
  • Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

Purpose: This policy outlines the guidelines for visitors on Calibre Academy’s campus, ensuring safety and compliance with A.R.S § 15-184. In line with state and federal laws, visitors without an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card must not be left alone with students unless they are the student’s parent or legal guardian.

Procedure: All visitors are required to follow these steps:

  1. Sign in at the front office.
  2. Show a photo ID.
  3. Wear a visitor’s pass while on campus.
  4. Stay in approved areas as directed by school administration.
  5. Sign out at the front office before leaving.

Parents of Enrolled Students:

Parents are welcome to visit or observe their child’s classroom, with the following guidelines:

  • Approval: School administration will review and approve visits, ensuring they do not disrupt the learning environment or affect student and staff safety.
  • Respect for Learning Environment: Visitors should observe quietly and avoid interacting with students or staff during class. Assistance to students during visits is not allowed. All standard visitor procedures, including signing in and presenting ID, apply.

Parents of Prospective Students:

Parents interested in enrolling their children at Calibre are encouraged to visit and observe classrooms under the same guidelines as current parents. Prospective parents will also be accompanied by a staff member during the visit.

Guest Presenters:

School administration may invite guest speakers or instructors to enhance student learning. Presentations should remain on topic and avoid controversial or unrelated material.

Other Visitors:

Individuals seeking to visit for educational or professional purposes must have approval from the school administration and will be accompanied during their visit.

Scheduling:

Approved visits will be scheduled at a convenient time for both the school and visitors. The duration of visits may be limited based on the school’s discretion.

Health and Safety:

Visits will be postponed or canceled if they pose a health or safety risk to students or staff.

Visitor Conduct:

To maintain a respectful and distraction-free environment, visitors should dress appropriately, use respectful language, and interact professionally with staff and students. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, and individuals may be asked to leave. Repeated disruptions may result in a ban from campus visits as per A.R.S. §13-2911. Photos or recordings are only permitted with prior written approval from the School Principal.
